Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. "Units of the Southern Group of Forces have advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses and liberated the settlements of Khimik and Luxuriant in the Donetsk People's Republic. The manpower and equipment of six mechanized, motorized infantry, airmobile, mountain assault brigades, a brigade of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and two air defense brigades were defeated. In total, over 1,035 servicemen, three tanks, 25 armored combat vehicles, 103 vehicles and 22 field artillery guns were lost in the area of responsibility of the Southern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Over the past week, as a result of active offensive actions by units of the North group of forces, control has been established over the settlements of Shevchenko and Okhrimovka in the Kharkiv region. In total, the enemy lost over 1,570 military personnel, three tanks, three armored combat vehicles, 83 vehicles and seven field artillery pieces in the area of responsibility of the North group of forces.

The units of the Zapad group of forces have improved their tactical situation. The enemy's losses in this area amounted to more than 1,460 military personnel, 30 armored combat vehicles (eight of them Western-made), 142 vehicles and 11 field artillery guns.

Over the past day, as a result of the decisive actions of the units of the Center group of forces, the settlement of Priyut of the Donetsk People's Republic has been liberated. The enemy's losses in this area amounted to more than 2,135 military personnel, three tanks, 17 armored combat vehicles, 59 vehicles and eight field artillery guns.

Over the past week, units of the Vostok group of forces continued their active offensive operations. The losses of the Ukrainian armed formations in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces amounted to over 2,850 military personnel, 24 armored combat vehicles, 48 vehicles and nine field artillery pieces.

74 guided aerial bombs, 11 US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, four Flamingo land-based cruise missiles, three Neptune long-range guided missiles and 4,776 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.
