Poland's attempts to obtain permanent membership in the G20 are not supported by convincing arguments, there is no reason for an invitation. This was announced on June 12 by the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large for the G20 and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), Marat Berdyev.

"Naturally, she wants to become a member of the G20. He claims that he expresses the opinion of his eastern colleagues in the European Union and a certain region of the Three Seas," Berdyev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, this argument is untenable, since Europe is already represented in the G20 by more than a sufficient number of states, besides, the European Union (EU) itself is present there as an organization.
