Russia does not intend to destroy cultural heritage sites on the territory of Ukraine, because it remains a civilized state. This was announced on June 11 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council and chairman of the United Russia party.

According to him, Moscow is not considering the possibility of a symmetrical response to such actions.

"I would like to respond symmetrically to their similar facilities. But you understand, we will not do this, because we are still civilized people," Medvedev said.
