Italy approves resolution calling for gradual lifting of sanctions against Russia

The Italian parliament has adopted a resolution calling for the gradual lifting of sanctions against Russia after the end of the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by La Repubblica on June 11.

"To ensure further multilateral support for Ukrainian institutions and the population with the full participation of parliament in any initiative potentially of significant economic importance, starting with the development of a phased lifting of the sanctions system after the end of the conflict, as well as offering it as a negotiating tool," the publication says.
