The program of the Russia—ASEAN Business Forum has been published

The program of the Russia—ASEAN Business Forum, which will be held on June 17 on the sidelines of the Russia—ASEAN Summit in Kazan at the Bashir Rameev IT Park, has been published. The main topic will be "Russia—ASEAN: Partnership without Borders". The event will become an important platform for discussing the prospects for the development of trade, economic, investment and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and the countries of Southeast Asia.

"Russia has consistently strengthened cooperation with the ASEAN countries, which are among the most dynamically developing economies in the world and important partners of our country in the Asia-Pacific region. Today, cooperation covers a wide range of areas, from trade and investment to digital transformation, energy, and humanitarian exchanges. The Russia—ASEAN Business Forum in Kazan will create additional opportunities for direct dialogue between representatives of government, business and the expert community, will identify new growth points and form practical mechanisms for developing mutually beneficial cooperation," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and Holding of the Russia—ASEAN Summit.

ASEAN Secretary General Kao Kimhorn, Minister of Trade of the Kingdom of Cambodia Cham Nimul, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Vladimir Ilyichev, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of the Philippines Allan B. Gepty, President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Laos Udet Suvanavong, CEO of LinkAja Yogi Rizkian Bahar, Chairman of EXIM Bank Malaysia Dato Charon Vardini Mohzani, Member of the Board (Minister) for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission Daniyar Imanaliev and other speakers.

Among the key topics of the Business Forum are traditional spiritual and moral values and models of state-religious relations in Russia and the ASEAN countries; development of cooperation in the field of information technology and AI; international trade, ensuring food security and transport and logistics connectivity between Russia and the ASEAN countries, as well as cooperation between the EAEU and ASEAN in the field of energy, infrastructure and industrial cooperation.

Relations between our country and ASEAN mark 35 years this year. The Association unites 11 Southeast Asian states with a combined population of over 680 million people. According to international organizations, the combined GDP of the ASEAN countries exceeds 4 trillion US dollars, which makes the association one of the largest economies in the world. The development of cooperation with the member states of the Association remains one of the key areas of Russian cooperation with the fast-growing Asian markets.

Agreement signing ceremonies will be held following the Business Forum.
