A special project of the Times and Epochs festival opened on the Boulevard Ring

A special project "Behind the Scenes of History", dedicated to the Golden and Silver Ages of Russian culture, is taking place in the center of Moscow as part of the Times and Epochs festival. Expositions and interactive programs unfolded on Strastnoy and Chistoprudny boulevards, Tverskaya Square and Revolution Square, the organizers of the event said.

The project tells about the creation of images of historical heroes in theater and cinema, as well as about key events and cultural phenomena of different eras. 22 photo stands have been prepared for visitors.

An exhibition dedicated to the Patriotic War of 1812 and the events that followed it opened on Strastnoy Boulevard. Guests can get acquainted with historical materials, as well as take part in guided tours, workshops and interactive programs.

An exhibition has been prepared on Chistoprudny Boulevard for residents of the capital, which tells about the development of literary and theatrical art at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries, and also introduces visitors to the main artistic trends of that time.

The atmosphere of a secular salon of the late 19th century was recreated on Tverskaya Square. Women's and men's costumes of that era are presented here, and thematic programs dedicated to the culture of the Silver Age are held.

The exhibition "Music and Cinema of Victory" was opened on Revolution Square. The exhibition tells about the work of documentary cameramen and photojournalists during the Great Patriotic War.

The special project "Behind the Scenes of History" will run until June 14. Entrance to all sites is free.

The Times and Epochs Festival has been held in Moscow since 2011. The program includes exhibitions, historical reconstructions, theatrical performances and educational programs with master classes.
