Construction of a road between Rodnikova Street and Solntsevo — Butovo — Varshavskoye Highway (SBV) has begun in the capital. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his channel in Maks.

Rodnikovaya Street and SBV will be connected by the Projected passage No. 6662, which specialists will reconstruct and extend, the mayor explained. Urban passenger transport will run along the new road, traffic lights and modern stops, pedestrian and bicycle paths, ground crossings and parking lots will appear.

It is also planned to reconstruct and build the Projected driveways No. 6522, 6521 and 635, and organize entrances to the village of Orlovo and the Zapadny farm. In addition, an above-ground parking lot will be created near the Arctic sports complex.

"As a result, the transport accessibility of the Novo-Peredelkino and Solntsevo districts will improve, and there will be comfortable access to the Novo-Peredelkino ski complex and the building of the magistrates' courts," Sobyanin said. He noted that stops at important social and cultural sites will be moved, and the route network will also undergo changes. The work will be completed in 2028.

Sobyanin recalled that the reconstruction of the road from Volynskaya to Rodnikovaya Street is also continuing in the Solntsevo area. Thanks to the implementation of the two projects, there will be a direct connection from the Solntsevo — Butovo — Varshavskoye highway to Volynskaya Street and further to Borovskoye Highway, the head of the capital said.
