A mother who tortured her six-year-old son was arrested in Tula.

In Tula, a 38-year-old woman and her 39-year-old husband were charged with child abuse, and they were both arrested. This was reported on June 11 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.

"According to preliminary data, the woman, together with her husband, systematically inflicted physical and mental suffering on her minor son, born in 2020, beatings and torture," the agency said in a statement on the VKontakte social network.

Now the injured child and his four brothers have been removed from the family and placed in specialized institutions to provide the necessary assistance.

The defendants were charged with committing a crime under paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture of a minor). At the request of the investigator, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against the woman, as well as earlier against her spouse.
