Pamfilova pointed out fundamental violations in the elections in Armenia

Observers from Russia at the parliamentary elections in Armenia have recorded many fundamental violations. This was announced on June 11 by the chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, during a meeting of the department.

"There were a lot of difficulties, there were, let's be honest, a lot of violations. Such fundamental violations," she said.

Pamfilova explained that the procedure in the republic was monitored by two members of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation and 24 representatives of regional election committees. The moderators performed brilliantly in carrying out the difficult work that lasted from morning to evening, she added.

On June 10, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova pointed to unprecedented Western interference during the elections in Armenia. According to her, the European Union has turned a blind eye to the observance of democracy in this country for the sake of a beneficial result.

The Civil Contract party of the current Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan won 49.81% of the vote in the parliamentary elections on June 8. More than 727,000 voters voted for her. The second place was taken by "Strong Armenia", more than 340 thousand people voted for it — 23.29%. The final results of the voting in Armenia will be announced on June 14.
