AvtoVAZ threatened the dealer with sanctions for violating sales rules
AvtoVAZ has launched an investigation into possible violations of car sales rules in one of the dealerships in St. Petersburg, demonstrated on video by one of the customers. The company's press service informed Izvestia about this on June 11.
"Based on the inspection materials and in case of receiving evidence of violations, the most stringent measures of influence will be applied to this dealership, both financially and legally, up to the revocation of the license," AvtoVAZ said.
We are talking about a video that was previously published in the media. The publication reported that a Lada Largus car with traces of serious repairs was displayed in the pavilion of the car dealership, and the dealership manager assured that the car was not broken and was new, and the car itself was built in 2023. Later, the car dealership reported that the car had already been sold, although shortly before that it was allegedly available for purchase for a certain promotion, and then they stopped talking.
Representatives of AVTOVAZ asked the author of the video to contact the company for personal explanations and assistance in buying a new car. They noted that they were offering him a job as a "secret buyer" to check the quality of service and operation of Lada dealerships.
AvtoVAZ presented the updated Lada Niva Legend SUV at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 3. The model received a new engine, upgraded chassis and body, as well as new electronic systems.
