Now, as Dmitry Antonenkov, a correspondent for Izvestia, who visited the scene of the accident, said, traffic police officers are conducting raids and inspections.

This accident occurred on the evening of June 10 on 8 Marta Street near house No. 17 in the Leninsky district of Yekaterinburg. Initially, it was reported that four people were killed and several injured. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said on June 11 that the tragedy was provoked by a bus running a red light. Two criminal cases had been opened there a few hours earlier. The department explained that the 49-year-old driver of the passenger vehicle and the 43-year-old director of the company that owned the car were passing through them.

The detained defendants will answer for crimes provided for in Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules that negligently caused the death of two or more persons") and Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of safety of life and health of consumers") accordingly.

Now a spontaneous memorial has been formed at the site of the tragedy, where residents of the city carry flowers, candles and soft toys.
