In Chita, the police are conducting an investigation into fraud, as a result of which a local resident was injured. He lost 1.2 million rubles.
According to the victim, in one of the messengers he received a message allegedly from an acquaintance asking him to follow the link and participate in the voting. To participate, authorization was required through the Gosuslugi portal.
After clicking on the link, the man received an SMS message allegedly about downloading data from his personal account. The message indicated the phone number that the resident of Chita called. The interlocutors introduced themselves as employees of the Gosuslugi portal and the Central Bank. They convinced the man to transfer the savings to a "secure account." The ChitaMedia news agency writes about this.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact.
In the Khabarovsk Territory, a 65-year-old woman gave 2.5 million rubles to fraudsters. The victim believed that she needed to "declare funds" through a special department, which is allegedly located in the capital.
