Average maintenance receipts for a number of common car models in Russia increased in the second quarter of this year compared to the same period last year. This is stated in a study by the international franchise network of car services Fit Service and <url>, which Izvestia reviewed on June 11.

The strongest increase was recorded for the Toyota Camry, the average check increased from 9723 to 12.6 thousand rubles (+30%). The dynamics are similar for Lada 2114 — an increase of 25% and for Lada Granta — an increase of 23%. Lada Vesta showed an increase in the average receipt by 12% over the year.

Kia Rio stands out among the mass-produced foreign cars. In the second quarter of 2026, the average check rose from 9,030 to 10.5 thousand rubles, an increase of about 16%. The cost of servicing the Volkswagen Tiguan crossover has increased by 10%. Hyundai Solaris's check increased to 10.7 thousand rubles (+9%). A more moderate increase in prices was recorded for Ford Focus (+5%) and Skoda Octavia (+2%).

The only model out of the top 10 popular "aftermarket" for which the average check has decreased is the BMW 5‑series. A year earlier, the maintenance of this model cost an average of 15.4 thousand rubles, now it costs 14.7 thousand rubles (-5%).

In 2026, owners of some mass-produced models began to visit the service more often, and the cost of a visit increased significantly for most cars. This is largely due to the natural aging of the fleet: cars require not only routine maintenance, but also increasingly complex repair operations, experts noted.

"On the one hand, the fleet of popular models is aging, and this leads to an increase in the average receipt. So, for Camry, Granta, and classic Lada, we see more complex and expensive works that have been accumulating for years. On the other hand, owners have become more pragmatic about maintenance for a number of models. Someone chooses high‑quality analogues instead of the original, someone just does not pull up to serious breakdowns and comes preemptively. As a result, for some models, receipts grow significantly due to accumulated repairs, for others — more smoothly due to regular, scheduled maintenance. For the market, this is a sign of maturation. People are becoming more aware of what it really costs to own a car, and they are trying to manage this budget," explained Tatiana Ovchinnikova, director of the international franchise network of Fit Service car services.

Earlier, on May 15, it was reported that taxi drivers who work in private cars spend up to 25% of their monthly income on car maintenance.
