Iran has blocked the Strait of Hormuz for the movement of all ships. This became known on June 11.

"Iran's Supreme Joint Military Command has stated that the Strait of Hormuz is closed and any vessel attempting to pass through it will be shelled," Al Jazeera TV channel reported.
