Sales of the Belgee X50 compact crossover in Russia have indeed been suspended. The company is studying the market situation and is considering further production of the model, variants of execution and its sales in Russia. This was announced on June 10 by the press service of the Belarusian automobile brand.

"We recently launched the new Belgee X50+ and are now focusing on this crossover," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quotes representatives of the brand as saying.

The fact that the compact crossover Belgee X50, which is produced at the Belgee plant in Belarus, has disappeared from the brand's Russian website, and copies of this model are no longer available in the "Cars in stock" section, became known earlier on Wednesday.

Last year, sales of the Belgee X50 in Russia reached 38.3 thousand units, this model took the fourth place in popularity on the Russian car market after Lada Granta and Vesta, as well as Haval Jolion, and in Moscow the X50 turned out to be a bestseller.

Both the Belgee X50 and X50+ are based on the Chinese Geely Coolray crossover, with the latter based on a facelifted version of the model and launched on the Russian market in March.

The Geely Coolray crossover, which dropped out of the brand's lineup at the end of last year, returned to the Russian market in an updated form on May 21. The model went on sale at a price starting from 2.89 million rubles, it is available in one package. Prior to that, on April 2, the Belgee X50+ went on sale in a new top-end package priced from 2.78 million rubles.
