The building of the Defense of Sevastopol panorama with an area of more than 30 thousand square meters completely burned out after the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on June 10 by the governor of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The fire destroyed all the combustible elements of the building. At the same time, the historical roof structures made in 1905 at the First Mariupol Manufactory have been visually preserved.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the panorama "Defense of Sevastopol 1854-1855" on June 10. The governor of the city, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that as a result of the incident, the building where the object was stored was almost completely destroyed. The strike was carried out by a drone with a shaped charge that burned through the roof of the building.

Representatives of the museum community said that some of the original fragments by Rubo managed to miraculously survive for the second time. Mikhail Smorodkin, director of the museum, clarified that the panorama "The Defense of Sevastopol in 1854-1855" was in danger of complete destruction as a result of a drone attack. According to him, it is not yet possible to assess the damage that has been caused.
