Swedish reconnaissance aircraft spotted over Finland near the borders of the Russian Federation

The Swedish Gulfstream IV reconnaissance aircraft was monitoring the territory of Finland near the borders of Russia. This was confirmed on June 10 by flight data from the Flightradar24 service.

As RIA Novosti noted, the plane took off from the Swedish Air Force (VVS) airbase in Linkoping at about 10:00 Moscow time, and then entered Finnish airspace and flew along the Russian border, covering the area from St. Petersburg to Petrozavodsk.

At the same time, the aircraft usually conducts reconnaissance not only near the western borders of Russia, but sometimes performs observation flights over the Black Sea, including the Crimea region.

In Arprel, it was reported that Gulfstream IV operated flights along the border of Russia and Finland. Then the aircraft made three flights along the border area in the direction of Vyborg, as well as St. Petersburg, after which it headed north.
