Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will participate in the parliamentary elections to be held in the fall. This was announced on June 10 by the Likud party, in which he is a member.

"Prime Minister Netanyahu will participate in the upcoming elections and, with God's help, will win," the party wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

At the same time, the Reuters news agency noted on June 4 that the level of support for Netanyahu has plummeted in the northern regions of the country, where the IDF's military operations against the Shiite Hezbollah movement are continuing on the border with Lebanon.

The Axios portal reported on June 2 that American leader Donald Trump, in a telephone conversation with Netanyahu, sharply criticized his actions in the Middle East, calling the Israeli prime minister crazy. It was noted that Trump was concerned about the high number of civilian deaths.
