A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of forces improved the tactical situation and defeated the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost more than 230 people, a Cossack armored fighting vehicle, 17 vehicles, an electronic warfare station and an Israeli-made RADA RPS-42 air target detection radar.

The western group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 210 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles, 18 vehicles, two 122 mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery units and an Israeli-made RADA RPS-42 air target detection radar.

The military personnel of the southern group of forces improved their tactical position and hit the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost over 160 militants, five armored combat vehicles, 15 vehicles and three artillery pieces.

Units of the Center group of forces improved their position along the front line, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the Dnipropetrovsk region and the DPR. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to over 285 people, an armored combat vehicle, eight vehicles, a 152 mm Bogdana self-propelled artillery installation and an Argentine-made SR-30 multiple launch rocket system.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Ukrainian Armed Forces units were defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost over 455 soldiers, four armored combat vehicles and seven vehicles.

Fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of the Armed Forces brigades in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. Up to 40 militants, 17 vehicles, a field artillery piece and three electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the naval base, ammunition and fuel depots, transport and energy infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, storage, training and launch sites of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 148 districts.

Air defense systems shot down 14 guided aerial bombs, four Flamingo long-range cruise missiles and 766 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 159764 unmanned aerial vehicles, 661 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29691 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1732 multiple rocket launchers, 35292 guns of field artillery and mortars, 63769 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
