The work of the Oka water intake was restored in Tula

In Tula, emergency recovery work has been completed on the water pipeline of the Oka intake. Now the system is being filled with water and the pressure in the networks is gradually being restored, TSN24 reported on Wednesday, June 10.

A day earlier, a 1200 mm diameter water main was damaged near the village of Berniki. This led to the cessation of cold water supply to a number of districts of the city.

The repair was carried out by Tulagorvodokanal employees. Experts warn that during the filling of the pipeline, there may be a temporary deterioration in water quality in terms of iron content.

Free distribution of bottled water continues in the regional capital for the period of flushing the nets. The situation with the restoration of stable water supply is under the control of the Mayor's Office.

Earlier it was reported that the daily use of tap water without additional purification can pose a serious health hazard. It may contain harmful chemical compounds, microorganisms, and heavy metals.
