Liksutov announced the start of registration for the night cycling festival

Registration for this year's first summer night cycling festival has been opened in Moscow. The race will take place on July 4, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital in the Moscow government for transport and industry.

The organizers have developed a new route from Krylatskaya Street to University Square, with a total length of 20 km. Two festival towns will be prepared for the participants — at the start and at the finish. They organize interactive zones, concert venues, light shows, contests and sweepstakes.

The gathering of participants will begin at 20:00 Moscow time. The first column starts at 21:00 Moscow time, the second — at 22:00 Moscow time. During registration, you can choose a suitable time slot.

"On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we are developing cycling culture in the capital. Summer night cycling festivals are very popular, so this year we will hold 2 such events: July 4th and August 1st. Registration for the first one is already open," Liksutov said.

To participate, you need to send an application on the website and get an individual number that can be printed and attached to the bike, said the deputy mayor. "Join us, invite your friends to drive through the evening streets of Moscow together," he added.

A total of six Moscow Cycling festivals will be held this year. The first two — Spring and Children's — took place in May. On May 24, for the first time, representatives of the Russian Book of Records attended the Spring Cycling Festival, which recorded that it became the most massive cycling event in the country. More than 77,000 cyclists and spectators took part in it. The second Night Cycling Festival will be held on August 1, the second Children's Cycling Festival on September 5 and the Autumn Cycling Festival on September 12.
