The crew of the T-80BVM tank of the 74th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Center group of forces destroyed a strong point and a control point for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dobropolsky area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on June 10 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

During the offensive actions of the Russian assault units, a fortified stronghold and an enemy UAV control point were identified. Having received the coordinates of the targets, the tank crew struck with 125-mm high-explosive fragmentation shells from a closed firing position, destroying the manpower and engineering structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After that, the fire was moved to the dilapidated building where the UAV control center was located. As a result of the precise hit, the structure was destroyed, and the drone operators and communication equipment used to control the FPV drones were eliminated.

After completing the combat mission, the crew camouflaged the combat vehicle to avoid a retaliatory strike by enemy artillery and drones. It is noted that the tank crews of the 74th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Center group of forces continue to carry out fire support tasks for assault units in the Dobropolsky area of the SVR.

On May 15, the crew of TOS-1A Solntsepek, a unit of the RCBZ troops, also destroyed a drone control point, a stronghold and a cluster of Ukrainian Armed Forces militants in the area of the military operation in the Sumy region. After receiving the coordinates of the targets, the TOS-1A Solntsepek crew moved into a firing position, deployed a combat vehicle and struck with thermobaric ammunition.
