President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had received a response from the United States to his request for arms supplies. His words on June 9 are quoted by the publication "Страна.иа ".

"I can't share all the details with you, but my state needs a very significant amount of anti-missile weapons. I got the result, but I can't share now what that result was," Zelensky said.

The President of Ukraine noted that by writing to the United States, "I wanted to do everything to shift their attention at least a little from the Middle East to the situation in Ukraine."

During a press conference on June 3 in Kiev with Zelensky, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte did not give him the opportunity to answer a journalist's question about the lack of Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine. During a press conference, a Bloomberg representative asked Zelensky about the progress of negotiations between Kiev and Washington regarding the supply of Patriot systems. Rutte seized the initiative from the President of Ukraine.
