The Indian authorities have temporarily stopped issuing permits for the American Starlink satellite Internet service due to possible risks to national security. This was reported on June 9 by Bloomberg, citing sources.

"India has effectively suspended the issuance of permits to begin commercial operation of the [American billionaire's] space Internet company Ilona Mask Starlink," the publication says.
