In the old days, this day was dedicated to inspecting fields and taking care of crops. The peasants went out into the field early in the morning to assess how the ear was growing, whether there were any pests. Sometimes they held small rituals with water, sprinkling the fields to protect them from drought. Housewives often prepared simple dishes from the first herbs and herbs. It was believed that they strengthen the body and give strength.
