Since June 10, the forests in the Lipetsk region have been rated class IV, which means that forests are highly fire-prone. The warning was issued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

The department explained that a high degree of fire danger arose in conditions of dry and hot weather. Only the extreme degree is higher, writes GOROD48. The rescue service reminds us of precautionary measures. So, it is forbidden to make bonfires in the fields and in the forest, as well as to throw out unopened cigarette butts into the grass.

In addition, a fire can cause uncontrolled burning of grass and debris.

A special fire protection regime began operating in the region on May 20.

Entry and stay in forests have been restricted since June 10. During the regime, fines for fire safety violations will be doubled.
