The International Sailing Federation has allowed Russian juniors to compete under the national flag and anthem. This was announced on June 9 in the release of the organization.

As Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko announced on the same day, juniors from the Russian Federation have already received the right to compete under the national flag in 24 Olympic sports.
