- Farmers from the Moscow region have received 3.4 billion rubles of state support since the beginning of the year
Since the beginning of 2026, agricultural producers in the Moscow region have been allocated 3.45 billion rubles from the federal and regional budgets in the form of subsidies and grants. This represents about 63% of the total funding for the entire year.
According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, with reference to the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the funds were brought to 125 farms. This allowed the spring field work to be carried out on time and the necessary supplies to be procured.
According to the head of the department, Vitaly Mosin, subsidies and grants cover a wide range of areas, from breeding livestock to vegetable growing. Concessional lending is an additional mechanism of state support.
Thus, about 1.3 billion rubles were allocated for breeding livestock, about 1 billion rubles for milk production, 20 million rubles for meat farming, 58.7 million rubles for grain production and sale, 12.7 million rubles for personnel support for agriculture, 517 million rubles for the development of potato and vegetable growing.
Farmers received 74 preferential short-term loans, the total amount of which amounted to 6.5 billion rubles. Thanks to this, they have financed seasonal work and maintained the pace of production activities.
Additional state support measures are planned for the third quarter of this year. We are talking about providing subsidies for greenhouse vegetable growing, the purchase of agricultural machinery, the maintenance of breeding stock, as well as per-hectare payments.
In mid-March, it was reported about the launch of a new livestock farm in the urban district of Klin. It is designed for 800 dairy cows. More than 3.2 billion rubles have been invested in the project. The production capacity will be about 9.6 thousand tons of milk per year. More than 30 new jobs have been created.
