Mikhail Mamuta appointed Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia

Mikhail Mamuta, who previously headed the Central Bank's Consumer Protection and Financial Services Accessibility Service, has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia. This was reported on the regulator's website on June 9.

It is indicated that Mamuta, who is a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank, will oversee the work of the new structural divisions.

"Such changes will improve the efficiency of work in the areas of activity and the efficiency of decision—making," the regulator's press service stressed.

Ekaterina Butova will become the acting Head of the Consumer Protection Service. At the same time, as announced by the regulator, the service will be abolished in December this year.

Oleg Khramov, former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, Colonel-General of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia, was appointed on May 27 to the post of adviser to the head of Sberbank German Gref. It is specified that Khramov held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation since 2017. He got there after working for decades in the state security agencies.
