Dermatovenerologist, cosmetologist Anastasia Razbezhkina told us which mistake is the most important in summer skin care. In an interview with Radio 1 on Tuesday, June 9, the expert recalled that the main factor in skin aging is not age, but exposure to sunlight.

According to her, ultraviolet light accelerates photoaging by destroying collagen and elastin fibers, so even expensive care cannot compensate for the lack of sun protection. The expert noted that the choice of SPF depends on the conditions of being outdoors. For a short stay indoors, funds with SPF 15 may be sufficient, while for walking it is better to choose SPF 30 or 50.

Razbezhkina also explained the difference between physical and chemical filters. The former start working immediately after application and are suitable for sensitive skin, while the latter must be applied in advance, but they have a lighter texture and are almost invisible on the skin. According to the expert, under normal conditions, it is enough to apply sunscreen in the morning, but after bathing or using a towel, the protection should be updated.

In May, dermatologist and cosmetologist Irina Kotova, in an interview with RT, shared recommendations for protecting the skin during tanning. According to her, for people with the first or second skin phototype, a short time in direct sunlight is enough. Before noon and after three o'clock in the afternoon, the risk of damage from sunlight decreases, according to 360.ru .

Also in May, gynecologist-endocrinologist Lilia Afanasyeva stated that many patients are unaware of the presence of uterine fibroids, as the disease is often asymptomatic. With such a disease, it is definitely impossible to bask in baths and saunas, and sunbathe, NSN notes.

At the same time, Olga Yanets, a specialist in dermatovenerology and cosmetology, said that it was worth limiting exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours of solar activity — from 11:00 to 16:00. During this period of time, ultraviolet radiation reaches its maximum intensity and becomes the most aggressive, notes Pravda.Ru .

At the same time, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Moscow Region, Ksenia Mishonova, shared ways to protect children from overheating in extreme heat. In the heat, she urged to avoid exposure to the sun from 11:00 to 16:00, put a hat and light light clothes on the child, give him regular water and apply sunscreen with SPF 30. It is also important to stay in the shade more often, take breaks in cool places and not leave children unattended in the sun, the Moscow City News agency reports.

Expert Maria Verichenko named the main rules of skin care when traveling. According to her, thermal water helps to quickly restore the skin after bathing. Special attention should be paid to vulnerable areas such as the lips, neck, decollete area and the skin around the eyes, which react faster to external factors and need additional protection.
