The business program of the XIV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum has been published. This year's Forum will be held under the slogan "Time to be right."

The SPIEF 2026 program includes more than 100 events. Business sessions and breakfasts, presentations, meetings, lectures and other business communication formats are built around 8 thematic tracks aimed at discussing the most pressing issues in the field of law.

"Respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, the sovereign equality of States and non–interference in their internal affairs are universal legal principles that were approved decades ago and must remain the same conditions for the harmonious existence of the system of world relations. I am confident that the trusting dialogue between Russian and foreign lawyers, government officials, representatives of business circles and public organizations, which has traditionally developed at the SPIEF site, will continue this year as an important step towards strengthening the authority of the values of international law, further developing national legal systems and new areas of interstate cooperation," stressed the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the The Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum Konstantin Chuichenko.

"We live in a world in which the concept of "international law" is rapidly devaluing. It is Moscow, along with its allies, that constantly calls on the collective West to think about what will happen if the global institutions that were created as the framework of the international system cease to exist? How can we protect our sovereignty while respecting international law? How can we guarantee the security of global trade, property and assets? The answers to these questions are of interest to many in the world. It's time to reflect on these topics, prepare proposals and solutions. This is the significance and purpose of such a venue as the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

In addition to the trajectories of the development of international law, the SPIEF 2026 participants will discuss issues related to improving the effectiveness of public administration and the search for new approaches in regulatory and administrative policy. Considerable attention will be paid to new opportunities for legal diplomacy, legal support for innovation, and ways to strengthen and support traditional values. Specialized discussions will focus on the topics of innovative development and the risks of using artificial intelligence, the introduction of digital technologies into legal practice, and legal regulation in the field of crypto assets. During the meetings, participants will also discuss the systematization of legislation and regulation of modern public relations, the development of arbitration, the future of legal education, challenges facing the legal profession, and much more.

The key event of the SPIEF will be a plenary session on the topic "International law – the privilege of the first or the right of equals?". A meeting of Justice Ministers will traditionally take place on the sidelines of the XIV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, as well as the third meeting of the CIS Coordinating Council in the field of forensic expertise, the strategic session "Law 2050" and the session "1905: Revolution and Reforms. History Lessons", lecture by Valery Zorkin, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.

The International Youth Legal Forum (MMJF) will traditionally be held within the framework of the Forum. Law students and young professionals will exchange experiences, gain new knowledge and a unique opportunity to further develop their professional competencies. The youth program will include lectures by Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, and Karin Kneissl, Head of the G.O.R.K.I. Center at St. Petersburg State University. In addition to business events within the framework of the IIF, presentations, legal competitions and practical seminars will also be held.

The XIV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum will be held in St. Petersburg from 24 to 26 June 2026. The event is organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation.
