The court upheld the verdict of Namin's stepson in the double murder case.

The First Court of Appeal upheld the verdict of Roman Tkachenko, the stepson of rock musician Stas Namin (real name is Anastas Mikoyan), in the case of the double murder of his grandmother and brother. This was reported on June 9 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

It is clarified that the defense's appeal was rejected.

"No one knows how it happened, and I don't know either. I fully acknowledge my actions and fully regret what I have done. When I return, I will atone for my sins," Tkachenko said in his final speech.

On March 31, the court sentenced Namin's stepson to 18 years in prison. The prosecutor requested 20 years in prison for Tkachenko. The defense's version that he had killed his family in a state of passion was considered far-fetched by the state prosecution. Later, Namin's stepson's defense appealed the verdict.

The bodies of Namin's mother-in-law and his 30-year-old son Artyom with multiple stab wounds were found in their house in the village of Kryukovo near Moscow on the night of October 19, 2023.

As the source of Izvestia noted, Tkachenko quarreled with relatives over the sale of the house. During the conflict, he killed his grandmother, after which he called his brother and told him what had happened. When he arrived at the scene, Roman dealt with him as well. After the crime, Tkachenko called the police and confessed to the crime.

Tkachenko pleaded guilty to the crime. According to him, he, who has survived "at least 10 concussions," has been allegedly communicating with his "other self" for several years.
