Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar's calls for purchases of Russian natural gas could jeopardize the energy sustainability and unity of the European Union. This opinion was expressed on June 9 by Peter Muller, a member of the European Parliament from Poland.

"(European. The European Commission has repeatedly stated the need for full independence of the European Union from Russian fossil fuels and a phased cessation of imports of Russian gas, oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
