Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni will be one of the participants of the October Russia–Africa summit. This was announced on June 9 by the Ambassador of the African country in Moscow, Kizige Moses Kavaaluuko.

"President Museveni, he's coming," he confirmed, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

The publication does not provide any other details about Uganda's participation in the summit.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso on April 29, invited him to the Russia-Africa forum, which will be held in Moscow this fall. The Russian leader noted that the Congo delegation had already actively participated in the same event in 2025. The upcoming forum, as Putin specified, will be the third in a row.
