The defense of the screenwriter of the TV series "Happy Together" Stanislav Berestovoy, accused of murdering Dmitry Lukin, an ex-participant in the Dom-2 TV project, said that the defendant committed the crime unintentionally. This was reported on June 8 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the Izmailovsky Court in Moscow.

"Berestovoy did not commit the murder, he defended himself," the lawyer explained.

In his opinion, the motive for Lukin's murder has not been proven — as witness testimony confirms, the men were friends, and the ex-participant of Dom-2 intended to stay with the screenwriter during a difficult period of his life.

After the tragedy, Berestovoy spent two days in intensive care: during a deadly brawl, he suffered a broken nose and facial bone, 13 incised wounds and knife punctures. In addition, a huge bruise formed on his leg, and bite marks remained on his elbow. More than 50 wounds were found on Lukin's body — the defense explained the smaller number of wounds of the screenwriter with the blunt knife of the opponent.

2.6 ppm of alcohol was detected in the blood of the ex-participant of Dom-2, while Berestovoy's was 1.7. According to the lawyer, the screenwriter himself informed law enforcement officers about the incident — he claimed that he was attacked and had to defend himself. At the same time, the deceased Lukin was found with a knife clenched in his fist, Berestovoy's fingerprints were not found on him.

A deadly fight took place on the night of April 14 in an apartment on Shchelkovsky highway. According to the defendant's testimony, the conflict broke out after Berestovoy refused to lend the drunk Lukin 50 thousand rubles. After a while, the landlord fell asleep, and Lukin went to the store and returned with vodka.

When the screenwriter tried to pour alcohol into the sink, the guest hit him twice from behind and went at him with a bread knife. Berestovoy stated that he was forced to defend himself and tried to calm down a comrade who threatened him with violence, but he knocked over a table on him and pinned him to the floor, which forced the screenwriter to decide on a series of chaotic blows.

On June 2, a court in Moscow arrested for two months a man who, during an argument, pushed a woman he knew out an open window. According to the investigation, the incident occurred on May 30 in an apartment building on Dmitrov highway. Investigators and criminologists have completed an inspection of the scene. Witness statements and video surveillance recordings are attached to the case file.
