Blogger Syutkin pleaded not guilty to spreading fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

Pavel Syutkin, a blogger and historian of Russian cuisine (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring), refused to plead guilty in a criminal case on spreading fakes about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces. This was reported to Izvestia on June 8 by his lawyer Evgenia Grigorieva.

She noted that the blogger made reposts from open sources, but, according to her, did not express his personal opinion. On March 27, the GSU of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow announced that Syutkin would stand trial for spreading fakes.

The criminal case was initiated under clause "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation"). At the request of the investigation, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against the blogger.

The 17-year-old author of the stuffing admitted to Izvestia that no one in the opposition media had checked his inventions.

In October last year, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Syutkin for publishing false information about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces in Bucha in the Telegram messenger. Prior to that, on October 9, it was reported that the metropolitan court had arrested Syutkin for two months.
