About 19 thousand cubic meters of timber were exported from the Pskov region
Since the beginning of 2026, about 19 thousand cubic meters of timber products have been exported from the Pskov region. The shipment was monitored by employees of the North-Western Interregional Rosselkhoznadzor Department.
Profiled lumber, lining, packing containers and birch containers were exported to eight countries: Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Belarus, China, the Republic of Korea, Jordan, India and Egypt.
China, the Republic of Korea and India received the most supplies.
The Pskov news feed, with reference to the press service of the department, writes that all export shipments met the requirements of importing countries. The Service issued 319 phytosertifications accompanied by shipments to the recipients.
Earlier it was reported that a project to develop a full-cycle furniture production was launched in the Pskov region. It is supported by the Investment Development Fund. In 2023, the production turnover was 26.5 million rubles, and a year later it was 48.7 million rubles. This was due to increased demand. For this reason, it was decided to increase and automate production. In particular, the authorities have developed a full-cycle Furniture Manufacturing project. It is planned that investments in it will amount to almost 21 million rubles. The company is expected to reach full capacity by 2028.
