A monument to the defenders of the city will be unveiled on Pulkovo Heights in St. Petersburg.

By 2028, a memorial in honor of the heroes of the Leningrad Battle will be built in St. Petersburg. It will be built by 2028 at Pulkovo Heights. It was in this place that units of the 42nd Army of the Leningrad Front held their defenses during the Great Patriotic War.

The monument will appear in the historical district of Bolshoe Pulkovo, next to the Expoforum. The first stone on the site of the future construction was laid in August 2024.

According to the project, the center of the complex will be the height at which the last major enemy attack was reflected. Nearby there are graves of militia, Red Navy and Red Army soldiers.
