The bodies of Evgeny Sokun, a 63-year-old keyboard player from the Nostalgia cover band, and his 61-year-old companion, who disappeared earlier this month, were found in the Leningrad Region. This was reported on June 8 by the TV channel 78.ru with reference to the volunteers and friends of the victims.

"The bodies of both the missing have been found," the article says.

Members of the North-West search and rescue squad and members of the Dobrotvorets autonomous non-profit organization were involved in the search. The events began on Saturday, June 6.

It is noted that Sokun went fishing at the beginning of this month. During the operation in the Gulf of Finland, volunteers found his car and an overturned boat on the shore.

On May 30, a source from Izvestia reported the discovery on the banks of the Irtysh River near the village of Nikolaevka of the body of Olga Simochkina, who, together with her companion Anatoly Boyko, disappeared on May 28 while riding on sapboards. After a while, the man's body was also found. It was noted that the victims, going on a river trip, were lightly dressed. Criminologist Mikhail Ignatov said that the tragedy could have occurred due to a whirlpool formed in the river, which could drag the couple under water.
