The Russian Embassy urged Russians to refrain from traveling to Israel.
The Russian Embassy in Tel Aviv has called on citizens to refrain from visiting Israel until the situation is clarified due to the worsening situation in the country and the Middle East. The corresponding statement was published on June 8 in the Telegram channel of the diplomatic mission.
Representatives of the department recommended that Russians staying in Israel remain calm, be vigilant and strictly follow the instructions of local authorities on security measures. The diplomatic mission stressed the need to stay in safe places and not leave them until special notifications are received.
Currently, the consular department of the Russian Embassy is receiving citizens in a regular mode. Newspaper.Ru writes that there are no plans to introduce restrictions on the provision of certain services.
As of June 8, the diplomatic mission has no information about Russian citizens who could be injured as a result of rocket attacks on Israeli territory. The embassy also added that the David Ben-Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv continues to receive and send civilian flights.
On the same day, US President Donald Trump said that Israel and Iran should immediately stop the exchange of fire. Tehran and Tel Aviv began to exchange blows again the night before. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired rockets towards Israel, which, in turn, began attacking military targets in the center and west of Iran.
