Volga car brand shares plans for 2026
In 2026, it is planned to assemble about 30 thousand Volga cars at the plant in Nizhny Novgorod. By the end of the year, the company expects to sell 25-27 thousand vehicles. Tatiana Fadeeva, head of the Volga brand, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta about this on the sidelines of the SPIEF.
The plant has already started the full first shift, about 1.5 thousand cars have rolled off the assembly line, she shared. Volga sales will start on June 19. About 25-30 dealerships in Russia are already ready for launch.
At the first stage, the company is focused on large regional centers and million-plus cities. By the end of the year, it is planned to increase the number of partners in key cities of the country to 130. Half of them have already been selected and are at the launch stage, the top manager noted.
Fadeeva also said that the release of special versions of Volga for taxis and corporate parks is not planned yet.
Production of Volga models (based on Geely cars) is carried out at the plant in Nizhny Novgorod, where previously Skoda and Volkswagen cars were produced. The project is being led by Nizhny Novgorod Passenger Cars.
As reported on May 26, the Volga C50 sedan will cost from 2.9 million rubles, the K40 crossover from 2.75 million rubles, and the K50 crossover from 4.2 million rubles.
