Marines of the 177th Guards regiment of the Center group of forces destroyed the control points of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dobropolsky area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on June 8 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is noted that during the combat work, the military personnel used shock FPV drones and cannon artillery. The target was identified by calculations of reconnaissance drones. Ukrainian militants equipped a camouflaged dugout and a drone launch site in a wooded area, from where artillery adjustments and aerial reconnaissance were conducted.

"Our main task is to identify these points, systematically destroy and oust the enemy from these railway lines, as well as identify enemy air reconnaissance posts, FPV calculations, and hexacopter—type copters," said Dmitry Nikolaev, battalion commander of the 177th Guards Marine Regiment.

Nikolayev decided to hit the target with barrel artillery, the fire was conducted from a closed firing position with high-explosive fragmentation ammunition. After completing the task, the crew hid the gun and took refuge in a safe place. In addition, operators of shock FPV drones carried out pinpoint strikes on identified positions in buildings with enemy formations.

The objective control footage demonstrates the destruction of enemy targets and the coordinated work of the military personnel of the 177th Guards Marine Regiment of the Center group.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on June 7 that Russian military personnel had attacked transport, energy and port infrastructure facilities used by Ukrainian militants. It was noted that the strikes were carried out by tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile forces and artillery.
