Lantratova announced negotiations with Ukraine on the return of members of 10 families

On June 7, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Yana Lantratova, announced that she was negotiating with the Ukrainian Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Lubinets, regarding the return of 10 family members to Russia from Ukraine.

"I am currently working on the stories of ten families that we need to reunite, and the first three families have been reunited. <...> We have agreed on family reunification. The lists are long, but in the near future we are working on 10 families," she said on the TV channel Solovyov Live.

The Russian Ombudsman also noted that she had reached an agreement with her Ukrainian counterpart on the exchange of lists of civilians. The parties will agree on whom each of them would like to return and transfer. In addition, they discussed the return of residents of the Kursk region who are still in Ukraine.

Lantratova also stressed that the need for young people aged 18-20 who are in captivity to return home was discussed. According to her, this area is considered as an important and priority one.

During negotiations with the Ukrainian side, with the participation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), an agreement was reached on the exchange of lists of people wishing to reunite with their loved ones.
