The U.S. consular offices in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv are closed due to the current security situation in Israel. This was announced on June 7 by the United States Embassy in Jerusalem.

"The consular offices of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem and the Embassy branch in Tel Aviv are closed on Monday, June 8. In the event of a rocket attack or an invasion by enemy aircraft, a red alert siren may be activated," the text of the message says.
