Moldova announced its intention to produce drones in cooperation with Ukraine

Moldova intends to start manufacturing drones, despite the neutrality laid down in the legislation. This was announced on June 7 by the country's President Maia Sandu.

"I asked the government to prepare a legislative change. On the one hand, the state should produce these drones and anti—drones, but on the other, we should allow the private sector to participate," she said in an interview with Moldovan journalist Nicolai Kiku, posted on his YouTube channel.

As Sandu noted, the country needs to have drones so that they can fight interceptor drones. She stressed that she made this decision because of the drone crash in the Romanian city of Galac. According to her, Moldova currently does not have the necessary technologies and specialists to organize such production, while foreign investors have all the potential.

Sandu added that she wants to receive assistance in the production of drones from Ukraine. She expressed the hope of obtaining production technologies and creating a team with minimal expertise for further work.
