The Strong Armenia party pointed to numerous violations during the elections.
There are many violations in the parliamentary elections in Armenia. Aram Vardevanyan, a lawyer and a representative of the Strong Armenia party, told Izvestia about this on June 7.
"There are both repressions and cases of violations of the electoral code. There are also technical violations. There are more serious violations. Well, it's a process. We are moving forward," he said in a conversation with Izvestia correspondent Alexei Poltoranin.
He assured that all violations are being recorded. A legal process is initiated for each of them.
"There are even cases where, for example, you are registered in an apartment, you live there with your family, there are four of you, but there are 35 people on the list, for example. There are such cases too, and it's all fixed. We will monitor the process," Vardevanyan added.
Karapetyan's son, Sarkis Karapetyan, told Izvestia on the same day that the repression carried out by the Armenian authorities against the opposition would not help Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Political analyst Tigran Kocharyan, in turn, said that the Armenian prime Minister is putting pressure on the opposition because of the elections and is using administrative resources to mobilize his "supporters." He pointed to Pashinyan's desire to intimidate the opposition-minded population of Armenia by arresting citizens daily and creating an atmosphere of fear.
