A man who crashed during a hard landing on a paraglider in the Chegemsky district of Kabardino-Balkaria (KBR) has been coming to the republic for these flights for the past four years. This was announced on June 7 by a source of Izvestia.

The 68-year-old Muscovite arrived in Kabardino-Balkaria on June 4 and registered with the local Ultralight Aviation Sports Federation.
"The weather is excellent, clear, and the wind is light," the source said.

An investigation is underway into the incident.

The pensioner died earlier that day near the airfield, located in the upper reaches of the Chegem gorge. Previously, the man did not use the instructor's services and flew on his own.
