Roscosmos showed the flyby of the asteroid Pushkin 2208
On June 6, Roscosmos State Corporation published a video of the passage of the asteroid Pushkin 2208 on the occasion of the poet Alexander Pushkin's birthday.
"On the birthday of the great poet, we are showing the movement of the asteroid 2208 Pushkin," the press service of the state corporation said in a Telegram channel.
The images of the asteroid were taken at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory by observer Sergey Nazarov.
On May 18, the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) reported that two asteroids the size of the Chelyabinsk meteorite flew close to Earth. We are talking about the asteroids 2026 JH2 and 2026 KB. Both objects have a diameter of about 20 m and are almost identical in size to the Chelyabinsk meteorite that fell in 2013.
