Convicted blogger Hilmi Forks could not get out of prison on parole

Convicted blogger Hilmi Forks was unable to leave the colony on parole. He announced this on June 6 in his Telegram channel.

"The Volga City Court has ruled to deny Hilmi's parole," Forks wrote.

According to him, the court considered that the goal of correcting the blogger has not yet been achieved.

Forks was sentenced to three years in prison in December 2023 for the illegal production and trafficking of pornographic materials on the Internet. Konstantin Erokhin, the blogger's lawyer, said that Forks' defense had appealed the verdict. Prior to that, in July 2023, Forks was found guilty of hooliganism and disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to 12 days in prison.
