Work has been completed to eliminate the consequences of the fire in the Lomonosovsky district of the Leningrad region. This was announced on June 6 by the governor of the region, Alexander Drozdenko.

"At the moment, the forces and means of the Ministry of Defense are checking the surrounding area for the possible presence of explosive objects. The check will last about two hours," he wrote on the Maks messenger.

The head of the region added that the evacuated residents will be able to return to their homes after about 17:00, the operational headquarters and the district administration will assist them in this.

"At the same time, it is planned to restore passenger transport services," Drozdenko said.

Drozdenko reported on the fire at the facility of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the Lomonosov district on the same day. According to him, a fire broke out at the scene, the causes of which are being clarified. The governor of the region noted that the number of destroyed Ukrainian drones had increased to 141.

Due to the fire, more than 600 people were evacuated from the security zone. Most of them are in temporary accommodation facilities.
